Christopher McMichael was born again at a Southern Baptist youth camp in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains at the age of seven. He experienced world missions for the first time on a youth mission trip to Mexico while in high school at the age of 15. He received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in college as a visitor to a spirit-filled church at the age of 19. In 1998, he earned a degree in Earth Science from Tennessee Technological University, and then worked as a geologist for nearly 10 years before resigning to pastor full time. He attended Dr. Lester Sumrall’s Bible School in Indiana in 2004 where he met his wife, Manda. Chris and Manda were married in 2007, only one month before taking over the pastorate of Engrafted Word Church. Pastor McMichael is ordained through Mark Barclay Ministries. He and Manda are proud to call Dr. Mark T. Barclay their pastor. They enjoy all the blessings and protection submission to a pastor provides. They enjoy raising their three children, Lydia, Abigail, and Justus.
